Fatal traffic accident in Sham Shui Po

    Police are investigating a traffic accident in Sham Shui Po this afternoon (January 9) in which a 90-year-old woman was injured and later died in hospital.

     About 12.45pm, a light goods vehicle driven by a 22-year-old man was travelling south on Tai Po Road.  On approaching the junction with Nam Cheong Street, the vehicle hit the woman who was crossing the road.

     The woman sustained head injuries and was taken to the Caritas Medical Centre where she was certified dead at 19.16pm.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team, Traffic Kowloon West are proceeding.
