Fatal Traffic Accident in Central

    Police are investigating a traffic accident in Central this afternoon (January 31) in which a 57-year-old man was killed.

      About 1.30pm, a taxi driven by the 57-year-old man was travelling south in Rumsey Street. The taxi driver is believed to have collapsed when his car was turning right into Wing Lok Street. The taxi lost control and rammed a parked light goods vehicle. 

     The taxi driver was rushed to Queen Mary Hospital where he was certified dead at 2.15pm.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team, Traffic, Hong Kong Island are proceeding.
