Appeal for information on abandoned baby boy (with photo)

    Police are anxious to locate the next-of-kin of a baby boy who was found abandoned in Mong Kok yesterday (February 1).

    At about 4.40pm yesterday, a passer-by found a baby boy at a staircase of 25 Pine Street. A report was then made to the Police.

    The baby boy was wearing a white pullover and wrapped by a blue blanket with floral pattern when discovered. He has no apparent injury and was sent to Kwong Wah Hospital for examination.
    
    He is believed to be a newborn baby, with umbilical cord attached, weighs about 2.78kgs.

    Police urge the relatives of the baby or anyone who has information to offer to contact the investigating officers of the Mong Kok District Investigation Team at 2398 6279 or the Mong Kok Police Station at 2398 6200.
