Fatal accident in Tuen Mun

    Police are investigating a traffic accident in Tuen Mun this afternoon (February 3) in which a 63-year-old woman was killed.

    At about 2pm, a taxi driven by a 44-year-old man was travelling along Ming Kum Road towards Lung Kwu Tan. When reaching the junction with Shek Pai Tau Road, the vehicle hit the woman who was crossing the road. 

	The taxi left the scene after the accident and later returned.

	The woman sustained serious injuries and was certified dead by the ambulanceman at the scene.     

    The driver was arrested for dangerous drinking causing death. 

    Investigations by the Special Investigation Team, Traffic of New Territories North are proceeding.
