Police appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Sau Mau Ping

    Police today (February 14) appealed for information about a traffic accident in Sau Mau Ping last Wednesday (February 6), in which a 16-year-old girl was injured and later died in hospital. 

    About 8.45am, a car driven by a 23-year-old woman was travelling south on Sau Ming Road. Outside Sau Hong House of Sau Mau Ping Estate, the vehicle hit the girl who was crossing the road.

    She sustained serious head injuries and was taken to the United Christian Hospital. She was later transferred to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where she was certified dead at 5.35pm on Tuesday (February 12). 

    Investigations by Special Investigation Team, Traffic Kowloon East are proceeding.
