Fatal traffic accident in Kwun Tong

     Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a 34-year-old woman was killed in Kwun Tong yesterday evening (February 16).
 
     About 10.30pm, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 44-year-old man was travelling along westbound Cha Kwo Ling Road. On approaching near the Cha Kwo Ling Public Cargo Handling Area, the LGV lost control and rammed into a medium goods vehicle parked on the roadside.

     Both the 44-year-old male driver and the 34-year-old female passenger were sustaining injuries. The driver was rushed to United Christian Hospital for treatment and the passenger was certified dead at 10.50pm at the scene by the ambulanceman.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team, Traffic, Kowloon East are under way.
