Fatal traffic accident in Tai Po

    Police are investigating a traffic accident in Tai Po this morning (February 25) in which a 76-year-old man was injured and later certified dead in hospital.

     At about 9.35am, a light goods vehicle being driven by a 60-year-old man was travelling along the Kowloon bound lane of Kwong Fuk Road. While turning into Po Heung Street, the vehicle hit the man who was crossing the road.

The man was taken to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital where he was certified dead at 11.08am.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North, are under way.
