Fatal traffic accident in Sha Tin

     Police are investigating a traffic accident in Sha Tin yesterday morning (February 27) in which a 23-year-old woman was killed.

     About 10.20am, a light goods vehicle driven by a 27-year-old man was travelling along Fo Tan Road towards Sha Tin.  At the junction with Min Fong Street, the vehicle hit the woman who was crossing the road.

     Sustaining serious head injuries, the woman was taken to Prince of Wales Hospital where she was certified dead at 5.30pm on the same day.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South are proceeding.
