Man arrested in connection with Kwai Chung death

    A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of a 19-year-old woman in Kwai Chung this morning (March 7).

    About 11.12am, Police received a report that a woman had died in a flat at Shek Kai House, Shek Lei Estate, Kwai Chung.

    When Police arrived, they found the woman had sustained multiple cut wounds and was lying unconscious inside the flat. The woman was subsequently certified dead at the scene.  

    Police seized two knives at the scene suspected to be connected to the case and located a 25-year-old man on the spot.

    Initial investigations revealed that the man, who was the woman's ex-boyfriend, attacked the woman after a dispute. The case has been classified as murder and the man is being detained for further inquiries.

    A post-mortem examination will be conducted tomorrow (March 8) to ascertain the cause of death.

    Investigations by District Crime Squad of Kwai Tsing are under way.
