Police investigate death of woman in Sham Shui Po

     Police are investigating the death of a woman in Sham Shui Po this morning (March 7).

     About 9.45am, a 65-year-old man reported to the Police that he had found an 80-year-old woman collapsed inside her premises at Mei Choi House, Shek Kip Mei Estate in Sham Shui Po.

     When Police arrived at the scene, they found the woman lying unconscious on the floor near the kitchen with both hands tied up by a rope and mouth sealed up by plastic tapes.

     The woman was subsequently certified dead at the scene. After initial examinations, the death is being treated as suspicious and the case has been classified as murder.

     A post-mortem will be conducted tomorrow (March 8) to ascertain the cause of death.

     Investigations by District Crime Squad of Sham Shui Po District are under way.
