Police investigate death of woman in Yuen Long

	Police are investigating the death of a woman in Yuen Long early this morning (March 15). 

	About 1.10am, a 74-year-old man reported to the Police that he suspected his 35-year-old wife had collapsed inside a flat at Tung Lok Street. 

	Police officers sped to the scene and firemen forced open the door. The woman was found lying unconscious on the bathroom floor with shower tubes surrounding her neck. Signs of ransacking were detected inside the flat. 

	The woman was certified dead by ambulancemen at the scene.

	Initial investigations revealed that there were suspicious circumstances surrounding the case.

	A post-mortem will be conducted today to ascertain the cause of the woman's death.

	Investigation by Regional Crime Unit of New Territories North are under way.
