Man sentenced for possession of counterfeit credit cards ******************************************************** A 44-year-old man was sentenced to four years' imprisonment in the District Court for possession of false instruments today (March 19). The court heard that acting on information, officers of the Commercial Crime Bureau conducted an anti-counterfeit credit card operation on October 4, 2007. A private car driven by the 44-year-old man was intercepted on Mei Tin Road in Sha Tin. Eight suspected counterfeit credit cards embossed with two different names were found in the compartment. The man was subsequently arrested for possession of suspected counterfeit credit cards. After investigations, the man was charged with one count of possession of false instruments.
