Marine Police seize computer goods worth about $0.6 million ********************************************************* Marine Police have seized a large quantity of computer hard disks worth about $0.6 million in an anti-smuggling operation in Tai Po this morning (March 27). About 3am, officers of Marine Outer Waters District Task Force and Marine North Division spotted six men unloading goods from a light goods vehicle onto a speedboat at a public pier near Tai Po Waterfront Park in Tai Po. The men at the scene fled in the speedboat when they saw police officers, leaving the light goods vehicle. A total of 27 boxes of computer hard disks worth about $0.6 million were seized from the vehicle. The case will be handed over to the Customs and Excise Department for further investigation.
