Fatal traffic accident in Sau Mau Ping

     Police are investigating a traffic accident in Sau Mau Ping this evening (April 3) in which a 5-year-old boy was killed.

     About 6.55pm, a public light bus driven by a 61-year-old man was traveling north along Hip Wo Street. On reaching the junction with Tsui Ping Road, the public light bus hit the boy who was crossing the road. 

     Sustaining serious head injuries, the boy was rushed to the United Christian Hospital where he was certified dead at 7.31pm.

     Investigations are taken over by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East.
