Traffic arrangements for a ceremony in Central

     Police will implement special traffic arrangements to facilitate a commemorating ceremony at the Cenotaph in Central tomorrow (April 25).

     Special traffic arrangements to be implemented are as follows:

Road closure
------------

(a) Chater Road
-- A section of Chater Road between Ice House Street and Jackson Road will be closed between 5.45 am and 6.15 am.
-- A section of westbound Chater Road between Murray Road and Jackson Road will be closed between 5.45 am and 6.15 am.

(b) A section of northbound Jackson Road between Connaught Road Central and Chater Road will be closed from 5.45 am to 6.15 am.

(c) A section of southbound Ice House Street between Connaught Road Central and Chater Road will be closed from 5.45 am to 6.15 am.

(d) A section of westbound Connaught Road Central between Harcourt Road and Pedder Street will be closed when the one-minute silent is in progress at 6 am.

Suspension of bus stops
-----------------------

     The bus stops situated at westbound Connaught Road Central near the Cenotaph will be suspended between 5.45 am and 6.15 am.

Traffic diversion
-----------------

(a) Vehicles on Lambeth Walk heading for Connaught Road Central westbound are advised to travel via Murray Road, Queensway, Tamar Street, Harcourt Road and Connaught Road Central.

(b) Vehicles on Harcourt Road westbound heading for Connaught Road Central westbound are advised to travel via Cotton Tree Drive, Queensway, Queen's Road Central, Pedder Street and Connaught Road Central westbound.

(c) Vehicles on Connaught Road Central westbound heading for Chater Road are advised to travel via Connaught Road Central, Queen Victoria Street and Des Voeux Road Central.
