Woman arrested in connection with Sham Shui Po murder

Police today (May 14) arrested a 50-year-old woman in connection with the murder of an 87-year-old woman in Sham Shui Po on March 4.

About 9.45am on March 7, police received a report that the 87-year-old woman had been found collapsed inside her premises at Mei Choi House, Shek Kip Mei Estate in Sham Shui Po.

When police arrived, they found the woman unconscious on the floor near the kitchen with both hands tied with rope, her mouth sealed by plastic tapes and her face covered by a red blanket. She was subsequently confirmed dead by ambulancemen at the scene.

Officers of the Regional Crime Unit, Kowloon West arrested the 50-year-old woman in Tin Shui Wai this morning and she will be detained overnight for further investigation.
