Fatal traffic accident in Ta Kwu Ling

	Police are investigating a traffic accident this morning (May 23) in Ta Kwu Ling in which a 60-year-old man was killed.

	About 7.05am, a container truck, a medium goods vehicle (MGV), a light goods vehicle (LGV) and another container truck were travelling north along Man Kam To Road. Near San Uk Ling, the first three vehicles stopped due to prevailing traffic conditions but the trailing vehicle - a container truck - failed to stop, resulting in a chain collision.

	The 60-year-old LGV driver was rushed to North District Hospital with serious injuries, but was certified dead at 7.52am.

	Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North are under way.
