Woman killed in arson case

Police are investigating an arson in which a woman was fallen to death and a man was seriously burnt in Po Tin Estate, Tuen Mun yesterday (May 30).

Police received reports at about 6.30 pm that a fire erupted in a flat on Po Tin Estate, Tuen Mun.

When Police arrived, a woman was found fallen from height outside block 4 Po Tin Estate. The woman was certified dead at scene.

A 54-year-old man with seriously burnt on his body was rescued by firemen from the flat. He was rushed to the Tuen Mun Hospital and later transferred to the Prince of Wales Hospital for treatment.

Police classified the case as arson and person fell from height. Tun Mun District Crime Squad is taken over the case for further investigation. 

A post-mortem will be conducted later today to establish the cause of death of the woman.
