Man charged in connection with death of woman in Kwai Chung

     A 49-year-old man was tonight (June 1) charged with one count of murder in connection with the death of a woman in Kwai Chung on May 21.

     Police arrested the man at the Lo Wu Border Crossing Point yesterday (May 31). It was suspected that he was connected with the death of a 32-year-old woman at Kwai Fung House on Ping Lai Path on May 21.

     A post mortem conducted on the deceased revealed that she died of suffocation.

     Following extensive investigations, officers of the District Crime Squad of Kwai Tsing made the arrest yesterday.

     The man was subsequently charged today and will appear in Tsuen Wan Magistrates' Courts tomorrow (June 2).
