Police facilitate public meeting and procession of transport trade ********************************************************* Police today (June 9) met with representatives of the transport trade and reached consensus with them on the arrangements of public meeting and procession to be held by them tomorrow (June 10). The public meeting and procession will be held between about 8am to 1pm tomorrow and vehicles participating in the procession will drive pass areas including Kwai Chung, Kowloon West, Western Harbour Crossing and Central. Police appeal to those who will take part in the events to be patient and to take heed of Police's advice in crowd and traffic management. As it is anticipated that the traffic in those areas involved in the procession, Central in particular, will be extremely busy, members of the public who wish to go to these areas are urged to make use of public transport. Members of the public are also advised to plan their routes early, allow more travelling time to cater for unexpected delay and watch out for the latest traffic news through the media. Police will closely monitor the traffic situation together with the Emergency Transport Co-ordination Centre of the Transport Department.
