Cyclist died in Tai Po traffic accident

    Police are investigating a traffic accident in Tai Po this afternoon (June 14) in which a 63-year-old man was killed and a 9-year-old boy was injured.

     About 4pm, a private car driven by a 39-year-old man was travelling along Tat Wan Road towards Wun Yiu. When reaching the junction of Pun Shan Chau Road, the vehicle hit the man and the boy who were riding a bicycle on Pun Shan Chau Road downhill.

	The man and the boy, who sustained serious injuries, were rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital where the man was later certified dead at 5.31pm.

     Investigations will be taken over by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North.
