Serious traffic accident in Kowloon City ********************************* Police are investigating a traffic accident in Kowloon City today (June 17), in which a 87-year-old woman was seriously injured. About 9.55am, a light goods vehicle driven by a 49-year-old man was travelling east along Carpenter Road. On reaching the junction with South Wall Road, the car hit the 87-year-old woman who was crossing the road. The woman was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital with head injuries, and is now admitted in critical condition. The light goods vehicle driver was later arrested for dangerous driving and has been released on bail pending further investigations. Investigations by Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West are proceeding.
