Woman arrested in Tuen Mun infanticide ********************************* Police have arrested a 31-year-old woman in connection with an infanticide in Tuen Mun last night (June 17). About 11pm last night, Police received a report that a baby body was found on the ground next to Ting Hong House of On Ting Estate. When Police arrived at Ting Hong House, they found a baby boy, attached with umbilical cord, lying on the ground. The baby was subsequently certified dead at the scene. Police conducted investigations at the scene and located a 31-year-old woman inside a flat on the estate. Initial enquiries showed that the woman, who had given birth to the baby boy, allegedly threw the baby to the ground from her flat. A post-mortem will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of death. The woman was sent to Tuen Mun Hospital for medical treatment. She has been arrested for infanticide and is being detained for further investigation. Investigations by District Crime Squad of Tuen Mun are under way.
