Police appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Sau Mau Ping

    Police today (June 19) appealed for information about a traffic accident in Sau Mau Ping on Monday (June 16) in which an 87-year-old woman was killed.

    About 11.55am, a private car driven by a 27-year-old woman was travelling north along Hiu Kwong Street.  Near Hiu Lai Court, the vehicle hit the 87-year-old woman who was crossing the road.

    The woman was rushed to the United Christian Hospital with serious head injuries.  She was later transferred to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where she was certified dead at 3.30pm the next day (June 17).

    Investigations by Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East, are proceeding.
