Fatal traffic accident in Ma On Shan

Police are investigating a traffic accident in Ma On Shan this morning (July 13) in which a 21-year-old man was killed.

At about 4.30am, a private car driven by the 21-year-old man lost control and hit a pay toll at the toll plaza on Tate¡¦s Cairn Highway.

The driver sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital, but was later certified dead at 4.52am.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South are proceeding.
