Fatal traffic accident in Hung Hom

Police are investigating a traffic accident in Hung Hom this afternoon (July 28) in which a 88-year-old woman was killed.

About 5.30pm, a bus driven by a 41-year-old man was travelling along Ma Tau Wai Road southbound. When approaching the junction of Hok Yuen Street East, the vehicle hit a 88-year-old female pedestrian who was crossing the road.

The woman was seriously injured and was certified dead at scene.

The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death.

Investigations will be taken over by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West.
