Police appeal for information on Sheung Shui traffic accident

Police today (August 1) appealed for information about a traffic accident in Sheung Shui in which one man and three women were injured.

About 3.30pm, a light goods vehicle driven by a 49-year-old man was traveling along San Fung Avenue towards Sheung Shui MTR Station. At the junction with Tsun Fu Street, the vehicle lost control and rammed onto the pavement, in which it knocked down an 80-year-old man and three women, aged between 20 and 75.

The 80-year-old man who sustained serious injuries and his 75-year-old wife were taken to Prince of Wales Hospital while the other two injured women, aged 20 and 34, were sent to North District Hospital for medical treatment.

Investigations by the Accident Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North are under way.
