Man arrested for murder

A 39-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of a 36-year-old woman in Aberdeen.

On August 3, Police received a report that a 36-year-old woman had been missing since August 1.

Regional Crime Unit of New Territories North took over the case for further investigation and subsequently arrested a 39-year-old man in connection with the case on Wong Chuk Hang Road in Aberdeen this morning (August 7).

Initial investigations revealed that the man allegedly had a money dispute with the woman in a unit on Wong Chuk Hang Road on August 2. The man allegedly killed the woman by attacking her with a wooden pole on the head.

Investigations also showed that the man allegedly wrapped the deceased in a plastic bag and dumped it into the sea off Kwun Tong Ferry Pier.

Police conducted a search off the pier today but has failed to locate the deceased so far.

The man has been arrested for murder. He will be detained overnight for further enquiries.
