Fatal traffic accident in Wan Chai

Police are investigating a traffic accident in Wan Chai this morning (August 23) in which a 44-year-old man was killed.

About 10.40am, a motorcycle driven by a 44-year-old man was travelling on Gloucester Road westbound. On approaching the Harcourt Garden, the motorcycle hit onto the back of a truck driven by a 28-year-old man ahead.

The motorcyclist was certified dead at the scene by the ambulancemen.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island are underway.

Anyone who saw the accident or who has any information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers on 3106 8800.
