Man arrested for murder

Police yesterday (September 21) arrested a 38-year-old man suspected to be in connection with the murder of his 77-year-old mother in Kwun Tong on September 19.

About 7.10pm on last Friday, a 41-year-old man made a report to the Police that his mother and brother were found lying unconscious inside their residence at Hing Tin Estate in Kwun Tong. The 77-year-old woman was certified dead at scene while the 38-year-old man was rushed to United Christian Hospital in unconscious state.

The 38-year-old man was arrested for murder after police investigation. A Post-mortem conducted on the deceased today could not ascertain the cause of the death of the woman pending further toxicological examination.

Investigations by the District Crime Squad of Kwun Tong are underway.
