Fatal traffic accident in Tai Po

Police are investigating a traffic accident in Tai Po today (September 28) in which a 53-year-old man was killed.

About 12.20pm, a bicycle driven by the 53-year-old man was traveling along Tolo Highway cycling track towards Tai Po Market direction. When approaching Wang Fuk Court, the bicycle lost control and rammed into an iron railing.

The victim sustained serious head injury and was taken to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital where he was certified dead at 1.28pm.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team, Traffic New Territories North, are under way.
