Six arrested over Tin Shui Wai death

Police have reclassified an October 2 wounding case in Tin Shui Wai as murder and arrested six men.

Police received reports that a 25-year-old man had been attacked by a number of men in a food premises at Tin Shui Shopping Centre about 3.55am on October 2. The assailants fled after the attack.

The injured man was taken to Tuen Mun Hospital. He was certified dead at 11.23pm last night (October 5). A post-mortem will be conducted on Thursday (October 9) to ascertain the cause of death.

Following extensive investigations, police officers have arrested six males aged 15 to 21 in the New Territories between October 3 and 5. The six have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Investigations by District Crime Squad of Yuen Long are under way.
