Appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Mong Kok

Police are appealing for information about a traffic accident in Mong Kok in the morning on October 4 in which a 59-year-old woman was seriously injured.

About 7.29am on October 4, a 62-year-old public light bus driver found the victim trapped underneath his vehicle after setting down passengers and starting off again at a public light bus stand on Cherry Street. The woman sustained back and neck injuries and was taken to Kwong Wah Hospital for treatment. She was passed away at 9.38am on October 7.

The driver was later arrested for dangerous driving causing death. He is now on police bail pending for further investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West.
