A total of 271 persons were injured and 1 person died in 229 traffic accidents which occurred throughout Hong Kong last week (October 12 to 18, 2008).

Fifty-three of these accidents occurred on Hong Kong Island, 81 in Kowloon and 95 in the New Territories.
