Appeal for information on fatal accident in Mong Kok

Police today (October 27) appealed for information about a traffic accident in Mong Kok in which a 71-year-old man was seriously injured and later died in hospital last week.

About 9.35am on October 20, a medium goods vehicle driven by a 30-year-old man was travelling southbound Hoi Wang Road. When approaching near Hoi Fu Court, the vehicle hit the 71-year-old man who was crossing the road.

The victim sustained serious head injuries and was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital. He was certified dead at 9.20am on the next day (October 21).

Anyone who might have seen the accident or who has any information is urged to contact the investigating officers on 2773 5200.
