Special traffic arrangements for Oxfam Trailwalker

Police will implement special traffic arrangements in Kowloon and the New Territories to facilitate the holding of Oxfam Trailwalker 2008 from Friday (November 7) to Sunday (November 9).

The following special traffic arrangements will be implemented:

A. Closure of Road
- A section of Chuk Yeung Road between Shan Liu and Wong Chuk Yeung will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic from 1pm on November 7 to 6am on Saturday (November 8), except emergency vehicles and vehicles of local residents.
- A section of Tai Mo Shan Road from its junction with Route Twisk to the radar station at Tai Mo Shan hilltop will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic from 9am on November 7 to 9am on November 9, except emergency vehicles and vehicles of local residents.
- A section of Shatin Pass Road between Tsz Wan Shan Road and Jat's Incline/Fei Ngo Shan Road will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic from noon on November 7 to noon on November 8, except emergency vehicles and vehicles of local residents.

B. Suspension of Parking Spaces
- The public car park adjacent to Sai Sha Road near Kei Ling Ha Lo Wai will be temporarily closed from 12.01am to 1pm on November 7.
- The car park near Tai Mo Shan Visitors Centre will be temporarily closed from 9am on November 7 to 9am on November 9.
- The Pak Tam Chung coach car park will be temporarily closed from 12.01am to 2.30pm on November 7 and the Pak Tam Chung public car park will be temporarily closed from 6pm tomorrow (November 6) to 6am on November 7.
- The car park at Cafeteria Old Beach in Tuen Mun will be temporarily closed from 1pm on November 7 to noon on November 9.

All vehicles found illegally parked would be towed away without prior warning.
