Police today (November 25) appealed for information on a body found off Central Pier earlier this month.

About 3.25am on November 12, police received a report that a body was floating off Central Pier No 3. The dead man was later confirmed to be an expatriate aged about 30, about 1.73 metres tall, of strong build and with short brown short hair on the back of the head.

When found, he was wearing a dark blue checked short-sleeved shirt; black shorts, black socks and black working boots.

Police also found on the man a dark green string necklace, a black string necklace with some plastic beads, one dark red string bracelet and a black string bracelet and some Hong Kong dollar coins.

No identity document was found at scene. An initial police investigation did not find any suspicious circumstance surrounding the death.

Police urge anyone who saw the man in the water, or who may know his identity, to contact the investigating officers of District Crime Squad of Central District at 2860 1933.
