Fatal traffic accident in Tin Shui Wai

Police are investigating a traffic accident in Tin Shui Wai this morning (November 28) in which a 39-year-old man died.

About 9.35am, a medium goods vehicle (MGV) driven by a 43-year-old man was travelling along Hung Tin Road. On reaching a slip road of Hung Tin Road towards Yuen Long Highway, it crashed into the MGV driven by the 39-year-old man on the opposite carriageway.

Both drivers were sent to Tuen Mun Hospital where the 39-year-old man was certified dead at 10.30am.

The 43-year-old man was arrested for dangerous driving causing death. He is still being detained for further enquiries.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North are under way.
