Police seize suspected "ice" worth $1.6 million (with photo)

Police today (November 29) arrested two women and seized a quantity of suspected "ice" (Methamphetamine) with a market value of about $1.6 million at the Airport.

Officers of the Narcotics Bureau (NB) intercepted two women, who were about to fly to Japan, at the departure hall of the Hong Kong International Airport this morning and found packets of suspected "ice" concealed around their thighs.

The seized drugs weighted about 3 kg, worth about $1.6 million. The market value of the drugs seized can reach 16 million Hong Kong Dollar if they were sold in Japan.

Two women, aged 30 and 29, will be charged with one count of "trafficking in dangerous drugs" and appear at the Tsuen Wan Magistrates' Courts next Monday (December 1).
