Police appeal for information on Mongkok traffic
accident

Police are appealing for information about a traffic accident in Mongkok last Thursday in which an 88-year-old man was seriously injured and later died in hospital.

About 3.55pm on November 27, a 39-year-old man was driving a public light bus (PLB) along Argyle Street. When it reached the junction with Reclamation Street, it took a right turn and hit on the 88-year-old man who was crossing the road.

The man was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in unconscious condition. He was later certified dead on November 29 at 11.13pm.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West, are proceeding.
