Police seize suspected "ice" at Airport (with photo)

Police today (December 5) arrested two male Singaporean and seized about one kilogram of suspected "ice" (Methamphetamine) with a market value of about $560,000 at the Hong Kong International Airport.

Officers of the Narcotics Bureau intercepted the two men who were about to fly to Japan at the departure hall of the Airport this morning and found packets of suspected "ice" concealed around their waists.

The market value of the seized drugs can reach $1.67 million Hong Kong dollar if they were sold in Japan.

The two men, aged 35 and 41, will be charged with one count of "trafficking in dangerous drugs" and will appear at Tuen Mun Magistrates' Courts tomorrow (December 6).
