Special traffic arrangements for hiking event in Sai Kung

Police will implement special traffic arrangements to facilitate a hiking event to be held in Sai Kung this Sunday (December 14).

The hiking event will take place between 9am and 5pm in Pak Tam Chung at Sai Kung East Country Park.

The starting point will be at Pak Tam Chung Barrier. Participants will go along Tai Mong Tsai Road, Pak Tam Road, Pak Tam Country Trial, section 1 and 2 of MacLehose Trial and the finishing point will be at Pak Tam Chung.

The following temporary traffic measures will be implemented:
(1) A section of Tai Mong Tsai Road between Pak Tam Chung Barrier and Pak Tam Road will be closed from about 8.55am to 9.10am to facilitate the start of the event; and
(2) Traffic control may be implemented on Tai Mong Tsai Road throughout the event.

Since there are limited parking spaces, participants are advised to take public transport to the venue. Police will take strict enforcement actions against illegal parking at the scene.
