Police appeal for information on Sheung Shui traffic
accident

Police are appealing for information about a traffic accident in Sheung Shui last Wednesday (December 10), in which a 71-year-old man was seriously injured and later died in hospital.

About 6.47am that day, a 32-year-old man was driving a light goods vehicle along Jockey Club Road towards Sha Tau Kok. When it reached the junction with Sha Tau Kok Road, it collided with a bicycle ridden by the 71-year-old man.

The cyclist was taken to Prince of Wales Hospital, and was later certified dead at 10.51pm.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North, are proceeding.
