Police investigating suspected homicide and suicide in Kwai Chung

Police are investigating a suspected homicide and suicide case in Kwai Chung this morning (December 28) in which a 67-year-old man and his 70-year-old wife died.

About 1.20am, a 36-year-old woman made a report to the Police that she found her father hanging inside the toilet and her mother lying unconscious on the bed inside the bedroom at their residence in Hiu Kwai House of Kwai Chung Estate.

The couple was rushed to Yan Chai Hospital where the woman and the man were certified dead at 1.36am and 1.41am respectively.

Initial examination found some abrasions on the neck of the woman.

Post mortem examinations will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of death of the couple.

Investigations by the District Crime Squad of Kwai Tsing District are underway.
