Duo charged with murder

Police today (January 3) charged a 21-year-old man and a 29-year-old man jointly with one count of murder.

The two men were suspected to be connected with a murder and fighting case that happened outside a karaoke in Yuen Long in the early morning on January 1, in which a 28-year-old man was injured and later died in hospital, and were arrested by Police on the same day.

Three other men, aged between 23 and 28, arrested on January 1 and 2 in connection with the case were released on bail pending further enquiries.

A post mortem conducted on the deceased today revealed that he died of the burst of blood vessels in the brain.

Investigation by the officers of Regional Crime Unit, New Territories North, continues.

The defendants will appear in Tuen Mun Magistrates' Courts on Monday (January 5) morning.
