Suspected murder case in Sau Mau Ping reclassified as murder

Police reclassified a suspected murder case in Sau Mau Ping on January 10 as murder today (January 12).

About 7.09pm on January 10, a woman made a report to the Police that she found her friend lying unconscious inside a flat on Yee On Street.

Police sped to the scene and located the 47-year-old woman lying unconscious on a bed inside the flat. She was subsequently certified dead at the scene.

Post-mortem results revealed that the woman died of smothering. Investigations by Regional Crime Unit of Kowloon East are underway.
