Fatal traffic accident in Tuen Mun

Police are investigating a traffic accident in Tuen Mun this afternoon (January 18) in which a 53-year-old woman was killed.

About 4.53pm, a bus driven by a 33-year-old man was travelling along Tin King Road towards Kin Sang Estate. When reaching outside Tin Lok House of Tin King Estate, it reportedly hit the 53-year-old woman who was crossing the road.

The woman sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to the Tuen Mun Hospital where she was certified dead at 5.24pm.

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North are underway. Anyone who saw the accident or who has any information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers at 2677 6299.
