Special traffic measures in Mong Kok Flower Market Road Area

Police will implement special traffic arrangements at Flower Market Road Area during and before the Lunar New Year Festival period.

(A) Temporary road closures between 8am on January 21 and 8am on January 26:

1. No vehicle will be allowed to access Flower Market Road, Yuen Ngai Street, Yuen Po Street and Prince Edward Road West Service Lane between Sai Yee Street and Embankment Road.

2. Subject to the prevailing traffic situation, the following roads will be closed:
- the section of Sai Yee Street between Prince Edward Road West and Boundary Street;
- the section of Fa Yuen Street between Prince Edward Road West and Boundary Street;
- the section of Playing Field Road between Tung Choi Street and Sai Yee Street; and
- the section of Prince Edward Road West Service Lane between Sai Yee Street and Nathan Road.

All vehicles will be prohibited from entry without permission for loading and unloading activities from 12.01am to 5pm daily.

(B) Closure of Flower Market Path and Bird Garden Path
- Flower Market Path and Bird Garden Path will be closed from 3pm on January 25.

(C) Temporary Suspension of bus stops
- The bus stop on Prince Edward Road West outside petrol station will be suspended from 6pm on January 24 to 6am on January 25, and from 2pm on January 25 to 7am on January 26.
- The bus stop outside Mong Kok Police Station will be moved forward to 225 Tung Choi Street.

(D) Temporary Suspension of Taxi Stand
The taxi stand on Fa Yuen Street between Prince Edward Road West Service Lane and Playing Field Road will be suspended from 8am on January 25 to 8am on January 26.

(E) Temporary Suspension of Parking Spaces
1. The meter parking spaces at the following road sections have been suspended from now to 8am on January 26:
(a) the section of Tung Choi Street between Prince Edward Road West Service Lane and Boundary Street.

2. The meter parking spaces at the following road sections will be suspended from 8am on January 25 to 8am on January 26:
(a) the section of Playing Field Road between Tung Choi Street and Sai Yee Street; and
(b) the section of Fa Yuen Street between Prince Edward Road West Service Lane and Boundary Street.

3. The motorcycle parking spaces at the following locations will be suspended from 8am on January 25 to 8am on January 26:
(a) the section of Playing Field Road between Tung Choi Street and Fa Yuen Street; and
(b) the section of Prince Edward Road West Service Lane between Tung Choi Street and Sai Yee Street.

4. The motorcycle parking spaces at the following locations have been suspended from now to 8am on January 26:
(a) Tung Choi Street near Playing Field Road

5. The meter parking spaces for drivers with disabilities at the following road sections will be suspended from 8am on January 25 to 8am on January 26:
(a) the section of Playing Field Road between Tung Choi Street and Fa Yuen Street; and
(b) Fa Yuen Street near Boundary Street.

(F) Entry/Exit MTR Prince Edward Station

Subject to prevailing crowd flow in and out of MTR Prince Edward Station on January 25, a one-way flow system will be implemented as follows:

Entrance B1 (Prince Edward Road West junctions with Nathan Road) will be used for entry only. Members of the public who wish to access Prince Edward Station from the Flower Market should use Entrance B1 only. Entrance/Exit B2 (Prince Edward Road West junctions with Sai Yeung Choi Street South) will be used for entry only mainly for crowds dispersed from Fa Hui Park Market Fair via Prince Edward Road West.

Exit A (Playing Field Road junctions with Nathan Road) will be used for exit only. Members of the public wishing to go to the Flower Market Road area are advised to leave the Prince Edward Station via Exit A and proceed along Playing Field Road to Sai Yee Street where they may queue up for access to the Flower Market. For those who wish to go to the Fa Hui Park Market Fair, they should leave the MTR station via Exit A and proceed north along Nathan Road to Boundary Street.
