Man arrested for murder

Police today (February 4) arrested a 24-year-old man suspected to be in connection with the murder of a 38-year-old woman in Hung Hom last Saturday (January 31).

About 8.48pm on January 31, a woman made a report to the Police that she found her friend lying unconscious inside a flat on To Kwa Wan Road.

Police sped to the scene and located the 38-year-old woman lying unconscious on a bed inside the flat. She was subsequently certified dead at 9.11pm at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

A post-mortem examination was conducted this Monday (February 2) and revealed that she died of suffocation.

Investigations by Regional Crime Unit of Kowloon West are underway.
