Police to showcase its work at Careers Expo

The multi-faceted aspects of Police work will be showcased at the upcoming Education and Careers Expo from February 19 (Thursday) to 22 (Sunday).

Police officers from the Airport Security Unit, Police Dog Unit, Police Tactical Unit, Emergency Unit and Traffic Formation will brief visitors on their areas of work and introduce some of their equipment at different sessions. Police dogs will join the demonstration at two of these sessions. There will also be a mini range where officers from Weapons Training Division will demonstrate the use of firearms.

In addition, Instructor of Physical Training and First Aid Unit will introduce the recommended physical training programme. Officers from the Police Recruitment Division and the Auxiliary Police will also be present to handle recruitment-related enquiries and register applicants on site.

February 19 - 22:
every hour - mini range

February 19 (Thursday):
morning session - Airport Security Unit
afternoon session - Police Dog Unit

February 20 (Friday):
morning session - Police Tactical Unit (Kowloon East)
afternoon session - Emergency Unit (New Territories South)

February 21 (Saturday):
morning session - Police Dog Unit
afternoon session - Airport Security Unit

February 22 (Sunday):
morning session - Police Tactical Unit (Kowloon East)
afternoon session - Traffic (Hong Kong Island)

Members of the public are welcome to visit the Police booth at the Expo, which will be held in Hall 5 of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 10.30am to 7pm on February 19; 10am to 7pm on February 20 and 21; and from 10am to 6pm on February 22. Admission is free.
